I took a van load of electronics gear to WY for the 1000 day and did
some experiments. Our best result
was on the Plains of Despair map and can be viewed at:

Look for the Plains of Despair experiment. The map of my track is fairly
large (424K).

Subject: Electonic Punching Failures or Disqualifications?
Message-Id: <7q8g98$dgg$1@plutonium.btinternet.com>

Does anyone have any experience of an electronic punching system failing or
having other errors which have caused problems in calculating results? If
so, how was the problem resolved?

Has anyone been disqualified using electronic punching and felt that the
disqualification was wrong?

The information is wanted for an article on e-punching for an English
orienteering association newsletter. If you have experienced any problems
with e-punching, which you are prepared to share, please respond to the
newsgroup (or by direct email). Please include the system name, approximate
date and how the problem was resolved. Oh, and if you are associated with
the manufacture or selling of any system, please indicate that on your
reply.

Thanks for any help
